Schell Scenic Studio offers a wide array of drapery choices for your particular event. Our draperies are for indoor use only. We offer shipping through UPS, and customer pick up is also available.

Black Borders

A black border is a solid black drape, typically made out of duvytine or velour. They are most often used to mask off the top of a stage and hide pipes or trussing. Schell Scenic borders have grommets and tie lines set in jute webbing spaced approximately every 12″. Black borders are vertically seamed.

Schell Scenic black borders can be rented in the following sizes:
40’w x 4’h, and 60’w x 3’h, and 60’w x 6’h, and 60’w x 8’h.

Black Legs

A black leg is a solid black drape, typically made out of duvytine or velour. They are most often used in pairs and are used to mask off the sides and sight lines of a stage. Schell Scenic black legs have grommets and tie lines set in jute webbing spaced approximately every 12″ and a 6″ pipe pocket at the bottom. Black legs are vertically seamed.

Schell Scenic black legs can be rented in the following sizes:
10’w x 10’h and 13’w x 20’h in Duvytine.
10’w x 10’h and 13’w x 30’h in Velour.

 

 

Black Outs

A black out is a solid black drape, typically made out of duvytine or velour. They are used to mask the entire back of a stage. A black out has grommets and tie lines set in jute webbing spaced approximately every 12″ and a 6″ pipe pocket at the bottom. Black outs are vertically seamed.

Schell Scenic black outs are 40’w x 20’h.

Blue Skies

Blue sky is a pale blue deep dyed muslin drop.

They have grommets and tie lines set in jute webbing spaced approximately every 12″ and a 6″ pipe pocket at the bottom.

Blue sky’s are horizontally seamed.

Schell Scenic blue skies can be rented in the following sizes:
30’w x 16’h, and 43’w x 20’h, and 50’w x 24’h.

Bounces

A bounce is a plain natural muslin drop (ie. reflector drop or cyclorama), often used as a neutral base for simple washes of color. They have grommets and tie lines set in jute webbing spaced approximately every 12″ and a 6″ pipe pocket at the bottom. Bounces are horizontally seamed.

Schell Scenic bounces can be rented in the following sizes:
30’w x 16’h, and 43’w x 20’h, and 60’w x 24’h.

Gold and Gold-Purple Metallic

Metallic are highly reflective gold draperies. These specialty drapes are ideal for special occasions and dance recitals. They have grommets and tie lines set in jute webbing spaced approximately every 12″. Metallics are vertically seamed and have an inner lining.

Schell Scenic gold / gold-purple metallics are 24’w x 20’h.

Scrims

Theatrical scrims are predominately constructed using a gauze material known as sharks-tooth. They are woven with a vertical rectangular pattern. Sharks-tooth scrim is woven on a 30′ wide loom. Because of it’s lightweight and excellent opacity and transparency, scrim is ideally suited for theatrical use. However, these properties increase the cost considerably. Standard colors are white, black, and sky blue.

Schell Scenic scrims can be rented in the following sizes:
30’w x 16’h, 40’w x 20’h, and 60’w x 30’h.

Silver Mirror Lamés

Silver mirror lamés are highly reflective silver draperies. These specialty drapes are ideal for special occasions and dance recitals. They have grommets and tie lines set in jute webbing spaced approximately every 12″. Silver mirror lamés are vertically seamed and have an inner lining.

Schell Scenic Silver Lamés are 24’w x 20’h.
